Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Cove Law P.C. (“Cove,” “we,” or “us”) operates cove.law. This policy explains what information the website collects, how we use it, who receives it, and the choices available to you.

It covers this website only. Information you share during a legal representation is also governed by your engagement agreement and our professional duties, including confidentiality.

Who is responsible

Cove Law P.C., 18650 MacArthur Blvd., Suite 450, Irvine, CA 92612, is responsible for information collected through this website. You can reach us at privacy@cove.law or (949) 868-2683.

Information you give us

  • Written inquiries (the Submit a matter and Write to us forms): who the matter is for (you, your business, or someone else, with that business’s or person’s name if you give it), what it’s about, how soon you need help, the names of others involved, a short description of your goal, and your name and email address.

  • Meeting requests: if you book a meeting through our scheduler, the same details as a written inquiry, plus your time zone, the time you choose, and the page you booked from.

  • Messages: anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.

Please wait for our instructions before sending documents or sensitive information. Our Website Terms explain what to include in an initial inquiry.

Information collected automatically

  • Website analytics: Framer, which hosts this website, records page visits and related technical events, such as the pages viewed, the referring page, general device and browser information, and which steps of our booking and inquiry forms are reached (not what you enter).

  • Google Analytics: we also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to record similar information about how visitors use the website.

  • Server logs: the servers that deliver this website receive technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request.

  • Fonts: our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when it delivers them.

Our Cookie and Advertising Policy describes these technologies and how to control them.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and arrange meetings.

  • To check for conflicts of interest before we discuss a matter, which can require the names of the people and organizations involved.

  • To decide whether we can help and to communicate with you about next steps.

  • To operate, secure, and improve the website, including understanding which pages visitors find useful.

  • To meet our legal and professional obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Who receives information

  • Framer, which hosts this website, provides its analytics, and processes the Submit a matter and Write to us forms.

  • Our legal@cove.law inbox, which receives the details you enter in the Submit a matter and Write to us forms.

  • Cal.com, our scheduling provider, which receives the details you enter when you book a meeting through our scheduler.

  • Google, which delivers the fonts used on our pages and, when we confirm a meeting, receives its details through Google Calendar and Google Meet.

  • Google, which provides Google Analytics.

  • Courts, regulators, or other parties when the law or our professional rules require it, or when needed to protect our rights.

These providers handle information to provide their services to us, and their own privacy policies also apply.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiries that do not become a matter for two years, then delete them. We keep records of matters we handle for at least five years after the matter closes, or longer if the law or our engagement terms require.

We keep names and adverse-party details in our conflict-check records for as long as we operate, so we can identify future conflicts. Analytics and server-log data are kept according to our providers’ settings.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you can ask us what personal information we have collected about you through this website, how we have used and shared it, and to correct or delete it.

Some information may need to be kept to meet legal or professional obligations, including conflict-check records. We will not treat you differently for making a request. To make a request, email privacy@cove.law. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond.

Do Not Track

This website does not track visitors across other websites, and it does not currently respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we receive through the website. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please don’t include sensitive details in an initial inquiry.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through it.

Inquiries and legal representation

Reading this website does not by itself make Cove your lawyer. An inquiry, a meeting request, or a message describing a matter is not confirmation that Cove has accepted it.

Changes to this policy

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date above.
