Cookie and Advertising Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on cove.law and our approach to advertising. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information more generally.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser’s local storage and requests to outside servers, which let those servers receive information about your visit.
What this website uses
The website uses two kinds of cookies:
Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages they view, how they arrived, and general information about their device, browser, and approximate location. We do not use it for advertising.
Form cookies. If you arrive from a link that carries campaign tags (such as utm_source, often added to newsletter and advertising links), Framer, which hosts the website, stores those tags in a cookie so they can be attached to a form you submit. It is deleted when you close your browser.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
Our pages also load resources from these outside services:
Framer, which hosts the website and delivers its pages, images, and code.
Framer analytics, which records page visits and related events so we can understand how the website is used.
Google Analytics, described above.
Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used on our pages.
Cal.com, our scheduling provider. The meeting scheduler on our Meet Cove page requests available times from Cal.com and sends your booking details to it when you book. The scheduler is built into our page rather than loading a Cal.com page inside it, and it contacts Cal.com without sending or accepting cookies, so it does not cause cookies to be set in your browser.
When your browser requests resources from these services, they receive your IP address and information about your browser. We will update this policy before adding cookies or other tracking technologies.
Advertising
We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or other third-party advertising technologies on this website. The website itself is attorney advertising. See our Attorney Advertising notice.
How to control cookies
Most browsers let you see, block, and delete cookies and other site data. Look in the privacy or security section of your browser’s settings. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge each provide these controls, and browser extensions can block requests to outside services.
To opt out of Google Analytics, use Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Blocking requests to the services listed above may stop fonts, images, or the meeting scheduler from working as intended.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date above.
